Stunning postmodern lounge chairs designed by Paul Boulva for Artopex, 1980s. These iconic postmodern lounge chairs were originally designed in the 1980s and made in Canada. Often referred to as 'Suspens' chairs, which were likely inspired by the Etcetera chairs. They offer an avant-garde, postmodern design which is embodied in the free form shape of the chairs. These incredible pieces were seen on the Star Trek series which is quite fitting for the set design. These specific chairs were originally featured in the National Ballet of Canada. They were recently reupholstered in a beautiful muted, light pink durable material with an accented leather at the feet of the chairs. SOLD AS A SET OF TWO. Open to selling individually, please message us to inquire.
They are in great condition as recently reupholstered. Some light signs of wear may be present. Please see photos for close ups.
